Thorsday Bridge

No, this post isn’t about Thor— but I did get your attention 😉 . I was going to title it Monday Musings… but life happened and now it’s Thursday.

There are a few things I would like to discuss…

First, I’m planning to add to the Literary Empire with… The Literary Empire blog. Original, right? I know. What I want to do in that space is everything about my bookish life, excluding book reviews and the sort. Think a book lifestyle, from forming book-themed cocktails, to fashion, to life rants… those sorts of things, and maybe a few book related posts too. What do you think about that? It’s not running yet (blogs take time to build and aesthetics and whatnot), but hopefully by the end of September or early October I’ll have it ready to go.

Second, Who lives in Southern California? Because Pasadena Loves YA is on September 17th and Marie Lu will be at Vroman’s on September 22nd. If you live in the area it would be fun to meet you!

Third, a quick reading/watching update. I have finished Nyxia by Scott Reintgen (debut book <3), and IT WAS GREAT! Review will come soon. I also finished watching The Defenders… It was entertaining, but I’m not invested enough to care about the spin-off collective of Marvel on Netflix. What are you currently reading?! Well, I’m slowly (OH SO SLOWLY) working through A Court of War( ahem- I mean Wings XD) and Ruin. It’s not that it’s bad, but it’s alright. I am buddy reading Wintersong (hopefully) with The Lit Coven. Annnnnndddddd….. I have no idea what I’m starting next.

Parting thoughts: My bookcase is sagging XD, so I need to fix that. Too many heavy classics.

Comment with your most anticipated release this month…

My list is LONG, but Warcross just came out and Language of Thorns is my other anticipated read!

The Literary Empress,

Ps. While I started this account with the mindset of keeping myself anonymous… it’s too much of a hassle. So, my name is Camille, and I am The Literary Empress <3.

Amended 9-17-17:

I should like to point out I wrote A Court of War and Ruin—  But come on… who doesn’t want to see these fae fight? Like, why did I pick this up?  I want blood and guts and savage sword fights. But that’s for another post.
